Recipe for natural homemade mouthwash

pretty teeth

A pretty smile lights up the whole face

It is important to take good care of our teeth, not only does our smile set the stage for the way we look- but toothaches and cavities are no fun. Most commercial mouthwashes are filled full of chemicals and toxic flouride- I am going to share with you a  mouthwash recipe I have used for years that is totally amazing!

                    Natural Homemade whitening mouthwash

4 cups distilled water

A handful of fresh mint or 4 tablespoons of dried mint

4 cinnamon sticks

4 Tablespoons Xylitol

2 teaspoons Himalayan sea salt

3 cups peroxide

1/4 cup witch hazel

20 drops frankincense

20 drops Myrrh

20 drops of clove

20 drops cinnamon

20 drops wintergreen

We will be using a lot of essential oils in our skincare my favorite ones to use are from Plant Therapy.I have been using essential oils now for about 30 years and I have tried many different brands over the years. When it comes to oils there is a huge difference in quality, you want to make sure that you get 100% pure. I have tried Doterra, young living etc.. both of those are good brands, however Plant Therapy is just as good and at a fraction of the price! Now there are times that I want a certain oil that Plant therapy does not carry and in that instance I usually go with Doterra or YL but I always check Plant Therapy first because of the affordability - I use tons of oils and I simply could not afford to use the amount I do if it wasn't for Plant Therapy.

Bring water dried/fresh mint and cinnamon sticks to a boil turn down heat to a simmer and let simmer for 30 minutes. Turn off heat and let cool down to room temperature. Add all ingredients together in a large mouthwash bottle. And use. The peroxide helps whiten teeth and also helps carry the essential oil below the gum line - this is extremely healing for people who have gum issues.
