Health and Success Coach
Health Wealth and Happiness
Thanks For stopping by and Welcome! I'm so very pleased to meet you!
I'm a life and health coach. I enjoy helping and motivating people to live more fulfilling lives. I believe that we sometimes get stuck in a rut and create habits of seeing things in a certain way and we need an unbiased, honest opinion to interrupt our patterns and help us make changes. I believe each and every one of us has a natural gift and that fulfillment comes from using our gifts.
My personal gift is helping others uncover what their natural talents and aspirations are and help motivate them to express their true self.I also believe that most diseases and illnesses can be helped if not cured by using natural herbs and nutrition. My personal belief and experience are that most disease is caused by an imbalance in the body and if we can bring the body back in the balance then the body will be able to heal itself
I operate in a very holistic approach focusing on balance. I believe being a fanatic about anything is to be out of balance.
While I do primarily eat healthy organic whole foods and love to cook, I also love going out to dinner to On The Border for some fish tacos, chips and salsa ( Mexican food is my weakness). I go out for sushi here and there and although I'm not big into the fast food we do order a pizza once in a while or go through Chick- Fil-A or grab a burger at Burger Street. I do not deny myself of anything that I want; it's just that after getting used to "clean" eating, now after having "junk" food I can feel the difference. I immediately feel bloated and lethargic and carry an additional 5 pounds for the next few days. So healthy food has become the norm, and junk food is now the exception. But I am human, and I strive for balance, not perfection. I also enjoy cocktails and believe that wine is a gift from the Gods.
To me being healthy does not mean being a size 2 with six pack abs nor does it mean living in a bubble. For me, healthy is being happy, productive and fulfilled with a work life balance having a body that has the energy to support any endeavor that I want to take on while being medication and drug-induced free.
I do believe that exercise is critical. However, I think it is more important to find a program that suits you that you can enjoy, versus just getting on a treadmill or stair climber for an hour, unless of course, that is what you like. Personally, I love yoga, dance, and particularly belly dance and enjoy working out with weights several times a week because of the quick results I get from it. As far as getting on a treadmill or doing aerobics - I would rather pay someone to do that for me lol and if you ever see me running then you better run too! Because something is chasing me ;-)
For fun, I love to read and learn new things. Not much of a tv watcher other than documentaries. I love to cook, garden and entertain. My husband and I grill out pretty regular even if it is raining or snowing outside lol, of course, we live in Texas, so we don't get to much snow here thankfully. Our weekday date nights usually consist of us grilling out on the patio with the tiki torches going, music playing, good conversation and dancing under the stars. My husband and I are real estate investors, and I am a Real estate agent, so we spend a lot of time looking at, and buying and selling houses. On the weekends we enjoy going to comedy clubs, dancing, concerts, festivals, estate sales, charity events and plays. And pretty often we have our friends over, and I will put together a nice dinner for us and then we will play games. Of course, we love to travel and go and try new things, but our lives are mostly about enjoying simple everyday things with friends and family.
So how did I get into this? Lol well as corny as this sounds I believe that it's my destiny or calling if you will. When I was 10, I had something terrible happen to me that caused me to have an out of body experience. From that point, my life was never the same. It was a bad experience, but it had a fantastic outcome. I realized at that point that I was not my body but a spiritual being having a physical experience. It sent me on a spiritual journey that has never stopped. Around the same age, I was over at my grandparents one day, and they were watching the news, and it came on tv that a cure for something was just discovered, and the cure was some herb that had been found in the rain forest. I remember it like it was yesterday. At that moment, I realized that everything we need is already available in nature and everything is interconnected. So from there I started studying about herbs, astrology, and natural health and became a little self-help queen. While my siblings would be outside riding bikes and making mud pies, I would be sitting under a tree, reading books.
I have also always been very mature for my age and very intuitive, extremely empathetic and brutally honest. So I have always been the one that people come to for advice. Even when I was a kid, I always had adults coming to me with their problems and I was always glad to lend an ear and offer suggestions.
My career has always been based around real estate and interior decorating, but a few years back I enrolled in a school called integrative nutrition which is a school to be a holistic health coach. And at the same time, I attended a life coach program, strategic intervention. At the time I was just going to school as a hobby because I love to learn and didn't have any intention of doing anything with it. I enjoyed it and was able to learn tons of stuff and have been able to help many friends over the years with that knowledge.
But life has a way of knocking us over the head sometimes lol. I had got to a point in my career where I was successful and doing well and should have been euphoric, but instead, I just felt unfulfilled and dissatisfied like something was missing. So I went and meditated and asked the universe for guidance and asked" why am I here? What am I supposed to be doing?" and just like that I had my answer and Health, and Success Coach was born. Ironically when I told everyone what I was going to do all of them had the same response people who don't even know each other. " Oh my God that it is your calling can't believe it took you so long" lol it just goes to show that we have to be ready and willing to change before we can find our answers.
